Opening reception First Friday, June 7, 5-9:30 pm

Show runs through June 30

Collage:

an artwork composed by pasting various materials not normally associated with one another onto a single surface.

Assemblage:

a sculpture made of often-unrelated and fragmentary or discarded objects organized into a unified composition.

“Drawing on the excitement and creative process of assembling unrelated items, I mold novel pieces — my art. Collage and assembly are artistic practices that I adopt for their breadth of possibility and for the personal pleasure I discover as wonderous arrangements unfold from the mundane objects I find. I cultivate joy by imbuing new life into objects that would otherwise be discarded or left unloved. My sincere hope for my art is to create something that will be cherished rather than abandoned; something loved rather than lost.”
