Opening Reception: First Friday, August 4, 5-9:30

Show runs through the end of August

This month, Kanon Collective is proud to host a Zip37 Reunion Show! Zip37 was part of the Navajo Street Art District at 37th and Navajo in Denver. Zip37 was open for more than 20 years and was one of the art community’s most beloved co-ops. They had an eclectic and often very colorful variety of art, and were well known for their awesome back room where you could always find original art that was affordable and fun. Sadly, they closed in 2017, another victim of the rising rents in Denver. The other three galleries from the Navajo Street district — NEXT, Edge and Pirate — found new homes in Lakewood’s 40 West Art District. And while Zip37 is no more, many of the artists are now part of other co-ops in Denver, including Edge, Core, D’Art, and even Kanon. We are happy to reunite many of the artists that were part of Zip37 during its long life in the Denver art scene.

Please join us this month for our opening reception on First Friday or the closing reception on Friday, August 25 from 5-9:30 pm. We’re also open on Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 pm.

Zip artists participating in this show include: Zoe Ace, Kym Bloom, Danyl Cook, Pat Cronin, Alix Evendorff, Leo Franco, Mark Friday, Joe Higgins, Katie Hoffman, Alane Holsteen, Mike Keene, Sara-Lou Klein, Christine Rose McCurry, Katherine McGuinness, Jennifer Melton, Barbara O’Connell, Louis Recchia, Valerie Savarie, Candace Shepard, Jerry Simpson, Janey Skeer, Jean Smith, Robert St. John, Ryan Talbot, Lin Takeuchi, Jeanne Trueax, Susan Vaho, Warner K.
