Christy Lynne Harris and Melissa Bee come together with their different interpretations of “Free Spirit”. Love of nature, animals, spirituality, and the whimsical run fluidly through this exhibit.

“How do we make art in a way that is free and uninhibited? This question was at the center of my vision for this series. I wanted to capture a child’s free spirit. Making use of the simple materials found at hand, playing freely and fearlessly with color, texture, and mediums. My desire is to connect with that spirit of joy and playfulness which once guided our actions and still dwells within each of us.” – Christy Lynne Harris

“Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.” Albert Einstein

“Intrigued with their indomitable spirit, horses have always and will be one of my favorite subjects to paint. Admirable of their raw uninhibited nature, spirit, perseverance, and strength, I strive to capture such beauty with expressive mark-making and amplified use of color in each painting.” – Melissa Bee

“A horse is the projection of peoples’ dreams about themselves — strong, powerful, beautiful — and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.” – Pam Brown
