ADRIENNE SOMMERS

Adrienne Sommers is an Army veteran. She started painting during her last year in the military and soon found her love and passion for art, particularly oil paintings. In 2011 she moved to Denver and started to dabble in watercolor painting and found another medium in art she loved as well. Adrienne currently resides in Lone Tree, and has shown her work in numerous galleries and shows in and around Denver. She is also a photographer and works in various other mediums such as clay and fibers.

Some of her inspiration from her artwork stems from master painters Edgar Degas and Gustav Klimt. She loves the freedom of expression with art and enjoys producing abstract art and the use of vibrant color and trying new techniques. She draws her inspiration for her art from music, literature, film, and particular design trends. She has studied and taken classes at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the Denver Art Students League, as well as various workshops led and taught by native Denver artists.
