Sharon Nicol was born in Eureka, California and once got in trouble for drawing a horse too well, in kindergarten. In the mid-seventies, she moved to San Jose and got involved in playing art/punk music and creating other various sundries with her friends and family. She has since traveled the states, painting some murals and selling paper mache creatures.
Landing in Denver 18 years ago, she continued to create. At the age of 57 she has finally made the leap to gallery showings.
As a multi-media artist, she creates objet d’art, using found and purchased materials. Ranging from paper mache and block prints to paintings and collages, you never know what might come out of this unique old mind. Oh, and she can’t draw a horse to save her life, now.
